Can't find your answer? The install guide covers setup in detail.

Getting started

How do I add SiteCrumb to my site?

Paste one script tag into the <head> of your site. The install guide has copy-paste steps for plain HTML, Next.js, React and WordPress.

Will the script slow down my site?

No. It loads with async, so your page never waits for it. Data is compressed and sent in small batches every few seconds.

Does it work with single-page apps?

Yes. Route changes in React, Vue, Next.js and other frameworks are picked up automatically and count as pageviews.

Can I track more than one website?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited sites. Switch between them from the dashboard.

Can my team use the same account?

Yes. Invite people with a link and give them the owner, admin or member role. There is no charge per team member.

Recordings and data

What does a recording include?

Page changes, mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and window resizes, played back as a video. The timeline next to it lists pages visited, custom events, console errors and warnings, and failed network requests with their status code.

How is the frustration score calculated?

Each session gets a score from 0 to 100 based on the problems the visitor ran into:

  • Rage clicks: three or more clicks on the same spot within 700 ms.
  • Dead clicks: a click on something that looks clickable, with no change on the page for a second.
  • U-turns: leaving a page and coming straight back within 7 seconds.
  • Errors: JavaScript errors and failed requests.
Can I record only some visits?

Yes. Set a recording sample rate per site in Settings, for example 25% of sessions. Traffic stats and heatmaps still use every visit.

Can I share a recording with someone outside my team?

Yes. Create a public share link for any recording. Anyone with the link can watch it without an account, and you can turn the link off at any time.

How long do you keep my data?

It depends on your plan: 30 days on Free, 90 days on Starter, 6 months on Growth and 1 year on Scale. See pricing.

Plans and billing

What counts as a session?

One visit by one person in one browser tab. A session can include many pages. It ends after 30 minutes without activity.

What happens when I reach my session limit?

Traffic stats keep counting. New recordings pause until the limit resets at midnight UTC, or until you move to a bigger plan. The dashboard warns you at 80% so it never comes as a surprise.

Is there a free trial?

The Free plan is free forever for 35 sessions a day. Paid plans also start with a 14-day free trial.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from the billing page. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Stop guessing why they left.
